Details: Bundaberg Royal Rum Liqueur was developed and produced by Frangos Liqueurs Pty Ltd in Brisbane in the 1950’s.  Bundaberg Royal Liqueur is a smooth and silky blend of Bundaberg Rum, coffee and chocolate.

The Frangos family immigrated from Greece in 1949 and had an 89 year old family tradition of producing liqueurs and Oyzo.  Brothers Michael and Con Frangos who took over the family business when their father suddenly passed away.

Frangos Liqueurs were also wholesale spirit merchants, they bottled Bundaberg Rum under their own brand and also bottled for ARD Pty Ltd.

In 1962, the Bundaberg Distilling Company acquired an interest in Frangos.  Frangos went into liquidation in the late 1970s.  So in 1981, Bundaberg Distillery released the first locally produced and bottled Bundaberg Rum Royal Liqueur.
