Frangos Liqueurs Bundaberg Royal Rum Liqueur
Date of Release: Circa 1963
Alc/Volume: -
Commonly referred to as the “Onion Bag Royal Liqueurs” (due to them originally being in a net bag similar to onion bags), these liqueurs were manufactured and bottled by Frangos Liqueurs in Brisbane under the Bundaberg label. To date two labels are known for these bottles. The older of the two is likely the 1 Pint 6 Fl oz version as many manufactures changed to a straight Fl Oz measurement closer to the change to metric measures. This would date the 26 Fl Oz version closer to the 1970’s, also making it the rarer of the two labels as it would have been around for a shorter time. These same bottles were used by Frangos for their “Cleopatra” Chocolate/Orange liqueur in the early 1970’s.
