MILLAQUIN WHITE RUM

TASTING NOTES

How to Taste and Compare Millaquin White Rum to Other White Rums

Introduction

Tasting can be a profession, a hobby or a game, each enjoyable and interesting in its own way. But above all, tasting is a means of using natures detectors (eyes, nose, palate) to select a substance which will be consumed. All of us are able to be critical and therefore we can discriminate and compare. For this taste testing we have listed sufficient criteria to enable you to learn the art of tasting and comparing our white rum to others.

Appearance:

Place 1-2 ozs of Millaquin White Rum in a four ounce goblet.

Lift the glass to eye level towards a light source

Note the brilliant and crystal clear appearance

There is no cloudiness or haziness

This shows that this product has been distilled, blended and bottled with great care and expertise

Bouquet:

Swirl the contents of the glass two or three times

Lift the glass to about 1” from your nose, sniff very gently at first with two or three short sniffs

Pause and concentrate

Then take a few more sniffs until you are satisfied that you have detected the rich but clean aroma of our Millaquin White Rum. This, coupled with a gentle hint of oak woodiness, shows that the product is a complex yet delicate spirit which promises to satisfy the most discriminating palate.

Taste:

First consider that this spirit is at full strength and you may have to dilute it.

In any case, either at full strength or diluted, take a small sip

Roll around in your mouth and let the liquid trickle at the back of your throat

Note the satisfying warmth, the delicate flavour, and above all, the smoothness which denotes a mellow product, matured to perfection and handled with great care for your enjoyment.

Now you be the judge!
