Details: Anniversary Rum is being produced by its master craftsmen by blending some of the distillery’s oldest and rarest rums.
“The launch of BDC 125th Anniversary Rum represents the pinnacle of all that the BDC has achieved in 125 years and celebrates the distillery's long-spanning history of expert craftsmanship, ingenious thinking, determination and collaboration,” the company said.
BDC 125th Anniversary Rum will initially be available at its Queensland distillery before wider availability from selected retailers across the country after the company’s birthday on November 22.
It is a limited edition product, with 1888 numbered bottles to be produced in a nod to the company's birth date in 1888.
“As Australia’s favourite rum brand, we want to mark this momentous milestone by giving back to all of the people who have helped take Bundaberg Rum to where it is today,” marketing manager at Bundaberg Rum, Andrew Oughton, said.
“Through BDC 125th Anniversary Rum, we hope to offer Bundy enthusiasts an exceptional liquid, fit to parallel the exceptional passion and loyalty we’ve seen from our customers over the past 125 years.”

UPDATE 11/10/13 First Revealed via our Facebook page
Bringing this exceptional liquid to life, the bottle features uncompromising detail including a metal collar and stopper with a hand-applied leather band. Each individually numbered crystal decanter is housed in a walnut wooden box, which also contains a set of two crystal tumblers - etched with the BDC logo. This fine piece of Australian history is rounded out with a hand-stitched leather booklet and a one of a kind copper ingot – the ingenious creation of melting down one of the BDC's distillation columns, which once distilled some of the liquids in this exceptional rum.
The decanters were bottled at the BDC distillery on the 10th and 11th October 2013.
